What makes it worth the price

Jade Mountain sits on the southwest coast of Saint Lucia, carved into a hillside above the UNESCO-listed Pitons. The concept is simple and radical: every suite — called a sanctuary — has no fourth wall. One full side is completely open to the view.

It's genuinely unlike anything else in the Caribbean. You're lying in bed, or floating in your private pool, with an unobstructed panorama of twin volcanic peaks and the sea. The architect, Nick Troubetzkoy, also owns the neighbouring Anse Chastanet — guests get access to both properties.

This is a place for couples and slow travellers. No kids under 16. No crowds — the whole resort holds fewer than 50 guests.
